
Tipco Asphalt Group Signs MoU with the Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University, to Promote Knowledge Sharing and Asphalt Research
On 25 August 2026, Tipco Asphalt Group, led by Khun Soranard Nantamontry (Deputy CEO – Thailand Business) and Khun Surapon Katekaew (Director – Technical Department) together with the Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Hat Yai Campus, by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nikom Suvonvorn (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration. With Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukritthira Ratanawilai (Head of Chemical Engineering Department, and Asst.) Prof. Dr. Jareerat Sakulrat (Head of Civil and Environment Engineering Department) serving as witnesses.
The work under this MoU focuses on developing personnel alongside knowledge sharing and research in asphalt. Which this time brings the expertise and research of the Faculty of Engineering, PSU, in rubber, oil palm, and natural materials to be further developed together with the expertise of Tipco Asphalt Group, in order to innovate environmentally friendly asphalt products in line with the Bio-Circular Economy concept and practical applications.
Supporting learning through experience sharing from experts and joint research, as well as visits to the company’s construction projects and R&D center, will continue on an ongoing basis. This is to ensure that students can truly apply the knowledge and experience they gain, while also building a well-rounded understanding of operations in the industrial sector.
This approach reflects Tipco Asphalt Group’s commitment to supporting education and personnel development of the next generation, providing the new generation with knowledge and experience that aligns with industry needs, ready to be applied to their work and further contribute to the development of the asphalt industry and the mobility infrastructure ecosystem in the future.
