on January 27, 2026, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited supported a knowledge-exchange seminar on Ground Improvement , with the objective of advancing geotechnical engineering expertise and elevating national infrastructure construction standards through collaboration between academia and the industry.

The seminar featured in-depth research presentations on the application of Fly Ash combined with Geopolymer to enhance the strength of pavement substructure layers, offering an alternative to conventional cement-stabilized materials. This approach addresses both engineering performance and environmental sustainability. The session was led by Professor Dr. Wu Jun from Shanghai Normal University, a distinguished expert in the field, who shared his academic insights and research findings.

In addition, the program included practical experience sharing from a major national infrastructure project—the Third Runway and Taxiway Project at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Technical knowledge on the application of Vacuum Consolidation was presented by Khun Christophe Duboscq, Senior Manager of Asphalt Product Research and Development, demonstrating Tipco Asphalt’s capability in translating engineering knowledge, innovation, and field experience into systematic real-world applications.

The seminar was honored by the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Kampon Subsomboon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Naresuan University, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Engineering Institute of Thailand (Northern Region 2). On January 19, 2026, Tipco Asphalt Group’s Construction Business organized a special technical seminar titled “The Porous Asphalt for the City Road” for Construction and Rehabilitation Units of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The seminar was held at the 7th Floor Auditorium, Bangkok City Hall 2.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Khun Mipol Punwatcharapisan, Deputy Director of the Department of Public Works, with more than 20 executives and officials from BMA’s Construction and Rehabilitation Offices in attendance.

The seminar was led by Tipco Asphalt Group, headed by Khun Jeerawat Pongpun, Senior Manager – Commercial, Construction Business, who shared technical knowledge and practical experience in pavement technology. The session focused on the concepts and application of Porous Asphalt Concrete for urban road improvement.

Porous Asphalt Concrete offers key benefits, including reducing surface water accumulation and lowering the risk of traffic accidents caused by hydroplaning. It also helps mitigate traffic noise, making it particularly suitable for areas beneath mass transit stations, underpasses, tunnels, and high-rainfall zones. The technology enhances drainage efficiency, extends pavement lifespan, and improves overall road safety.

The Department of Highways (DOH), in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the “Highway Asset Management, Batch 2” from November 10 to 28, 2025. The training sessions were held at the Terdsak Sedthamanop Seminar Room, 3rd Floor of the Training Division Building, Department of Highways.

This event featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Christophe Duboscq, Senior Manager-Research and Development Center of Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited. He delivered a lecture on “Climate-Resilient Highway Design” to enhance the participants’ knowledge. The key content covered:

Low Carbon Asphalt Solutions: Incorporating to minimize environmental impact and improve durability.

Roles of Cool Roads and Reflective Asphalt Surfaces: These innovations reduce heat absorption, mitigate urban heat island effects, and enhance road structure durability.

The seminar welcomed 15 engineers from nine nations, including ASEAN and BIMSTEC member in 8 countries. It was a pivotal opportunity for knowledge exchange and experience sharing to achieve sustainable and efficient highway asset management.

This training course was part of an international collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable highway asset management through the dissemination and transfer of expertise from relevant specialists. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to developing sustainable infrastructure and transportation systems in the future.

Mr. Thanapol Laosiripong (second from the left), Senior Manager – Corporate Sustainability Development and Risk Management, received the recognition of ISO 31000:2018 from Management System Certification Institute (MASCI) on 15th December 2025 at the Sustainability Room.

The assessment was conducted in accordance with the principles and guidelines of ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management, based on an evaluation framework covering six dimensions and 24 indicators, to assess the level of alignment, effectiveness, and maturity of the organization’s enterprise risk management.

The organization achieved an overall maturity score of 90.04% (Optimized), the highest level, reflecting a strongly effective risk management and positioning the organization as an industry leader. Such guidelines have been systematically integrated into the organization’s operational processes, coupled with continuous improvement and in accordance with international standards.

Tipco Asphalt Congratulates the Winners of the CE CU–TIPCO Asphalt Mix Design Challenge 2025

Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, organized the CE CU–TIPCO Asphalt Mix Design Challenge 2025, a platform for young pavement design innovators to showcase their ideas. The competition was held as part of the Civil Engineering Materials course, with 15 teams of third-year students participating in scholarship awards.

The official announcement of the results took place on Friday, October 24, 2025, with representatives from Tipco Asphalt, led by _Khun Surapon Katekaew, Director of Technical Department, and Khun Sompun Leelapanyaporn, Senior Manager of Technical Intelligence, joining the ceremony. From Chulalongkorn University, the event was attended by Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonchai Sangpetngam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pitcha Jongvivatsakul, and Dr. Siwarak Unsiwilai, who together presided over the award ceremony and presented prizes to the winning teams.
