*Tipco Asphalt participated as a lecturer in the course “Highway Asset Management, Batch 2” to Promote Sustainability in Roadworks*
The Department of Highways (DOH), in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the “Highway Asset Management, Batch 2” from November 10 to 28, 2025. The training sessions were held at the Terdsak Sedthamanop Seminar Room, 3rd Floor of the Training Division Building, Department of Highways.
This event featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Christophe Duboscq, Senior Manager-Research and Development Center of Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited. He delivered a lecture on “Climate-Resilient Highway Design” to enhance the participants’ knowledge. The key content covered:
Low Carbon Asphalt Solutions: Incorporating to minimize environmental impact and improve durability.
Roles of Cool Roads and Reflective Asphalt Surfaces: These innovations reduce heat absorption, mitigate urban heat island effects, and enhance road structure durability.
The seminar welcomed 15 engineers from nine nations, including ASEAN and BIMSTEC member in 8 countries. It was a pivotal opportunity for knowledge exchange and experience sharing to achieve sustainable and efficient highway asset management.
This training course was part of an international collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable highway asset management through the dissemination and transfer of expertise from relevant specialists. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to developing sustainable infrastructure and transportation systems in the future.
