On October 2-3, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, in cooperation with local government agencies in Phitsanulok Province, including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, the Office of Welfare and Labor Protection of Phitsanulok, the Village Headman of Village 15, Ban Wang Kum, the Department of Industrial Promotion, and Nikhom Bangrakam Construction Ltd.,Part., our key business partner in Phitsanulok, provided drinking water and survival kits to over 250 households in Ban Wang Kum Subdistrict, Bang Rakam District, Phitsanulok Province.

This area is a low-lying region where residents face the uncertainty of water currents. During the flood season, it is the first area to be affected by massive water inflows, leading to repeated flooding and significant damage to farmers.

Since the Bang Rakam community is where the company’s plant is located, this assistance aims to care for and take responsibility for the well-being of the community and residents around the plant. It also aims to foster good relationships and provide help in times of need, aligning with the company’s corporate social responsibility principles and policies on environmental conservation, social development, and sustainable good governance

Tipco Asphalt Group, Rayong plant, received the Good Governance Standards 2024 award, certified by the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce. Rayong plant is one of 250 companies that passed the evaluation out of over 900,000 entities in the department's database. On September 2, 2024, the group received a prestigious business award from the Director-General of the Department of Business Development. This award reflects the participation of both employees and management in conducting business under 6 core governance principles, aligned with the government's ESG concept for sustainability. Welcoming Laos’ customers to visit Tipco Asphalt 

Tipco Asphalt Laos Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tipco Asphalt Group, invited 16 customers and business partners from Laos to visit the company’s headquarters and participate in a study on quality control, research, and the development of asphalt product innovations. The event took place at the Research and Development Department at the Phra Pradaeng plant in Samut Prakan Province from August 15-17, 2024.

During the visit, Phra Pradaeng plant introduced its Centralized Logistic Management, which enables the company to effectively monitor and control the truck fleet nationwide. This system also supports efficient inventory management, provides real-time transport information to all stakeholders, and regulates vehicle speed to ensure road safety.

Additionally, the customers observed a demonstration of asphalt emulsion products for Prime Coat applications, focusing on a comparison between the properties and performance of Emulsified Asphalt Prime (EAP) and Cutback Asphalt (MC-70). The EAP was highlighted for its superior fuel and energy saving, as it can be used without the need for pre-heating. This innovative product is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the company is committed to promoting its use in road construction and maintenance in Laos to help protect the environment and foster a sustainable future.

This event is part of the company’s Customer Centric policy, which prioritizes customer needs, expectations, and experiences. The goal is to enhance knowledge, share new technologies and innovations, and foster long-term relationships with customers while improving safety across all sectors.

On May 8, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Soranard Nantamontry (Deputy CEO – Thailand Business) and Mr. Surapon Katekaew (Technical Director), together with the Department of Civil Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Professor Dr. Boonchai Stitmannaithum (Head of the Department of Civil Engineering) and Associate Professor Dr. Withit Pansuk (Deputy Head of the Department – Academic Affairs), formally entered into an MOU for academic collaboration. The collaboration aims to foster academic partnership and facilitate research activities beneficial to both parties, including special lectures by company experts at the university, support for on-site visits to construction projects and access to laboratory testing facilities, opportunities for internship, as well as joint research and development endeavors focused on enhancing asphalt concrete materials and solutions. Associate Professor Dr. Sorawit Narupiti and Associate Professor Dr. Boonchai Sangpetngam, associate professors of Transportation Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, also served as witnesses during the ceremony.

“Bitumen Marine” orders new asphalt vessel to enhance its logistics capabilities

On 9 April 2024, Bitumen Marine Co., Ltd. (subsidiary of Tipco Asphalt PCL) signed a contract with Sumisho Marine Co., Ltd and Sasaki Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, from Japan, to build a new 8,000 DWT asphalt vessel with design emphasis on environmental conservation and energy efficiency. The vessel will have a maximum voyage distance of 13,500 nautical miles and maximum speed of 14 knots. This new vessel will increase the Group’s asphalt carrying capabilities, complimenting the 8 vessels (1,200-12,000 DWT) currently in service, allowing for greater carrying capacity of asphalt products to customers in Southeast Asia, Northern Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
