Tipco Asphalt and Samut Prakan Highway District Collaborate with KMITL to Renovate the Parking Area of Chao Phraya Surawongwaiwat Auditorium (Wor Bunnag)
On Friday, October 10, 2025, Tipco Asphalt Group, in collaboration with the Samut Prakan Highway District and the executive team of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), organized an activity to repair and improve the parking entrance area of Chao Phraya Surawongwaiwat (Wor Bunnag) Auditorium at KMITL. The renovation was part of the preparations for the upcoming 2024 Royal Commencement Ceremony.
The event was joined by more than 40 participants, including volunteer students, faculty members, and university executives, led by Assoc. Prof. Supot Srinin, Vice President for Physical Resources and Environment, Acting on behalf of the President of KMITL, together with Khun Surapon Katekaew, Technical Director of Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited.
This collaborative effort was carried out under the framework of MoU to promote community and social development. Khun Phichakorn Srichanthong, Director of the Samut Prakan Highway District, supported the activity by providing machinery for base course rehabilitation using the Deep Patching technique. Participating students took part in asphalt paving work, guided by Tipco Asphalt’s team of technical experts. This hands-on experience was not only enjoyable but also provided valuable practical learning opportunities for students to gain real-world insights directly from industry professionals.
Participation in this activity not only helped enhance students’ civil engineering skills through practical experience but also encouraged them to contribute to sustainable community development, reinforcing the shared commitment to knowledge transfer and social responsibility through engineering expertise.
