On 28 January 2026, Construction Business, Tipco Asphalt Group organized a special training session “High Performance Asphalt for Airfield Pavement and Maintenance Solution for Service Road” for the Airport Maintenance Unit under the Airport and Building Department. The training was held at the headquarters of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The event was honored by the presence of Khun Narongrit Chaisayan, Deputy Director of the Airport and Building Department (Civil Engineering), who presided over the opening ceremony. More than 30 participants, including executives and engineering teams, attended the session.
Construction Business led by Khun Jeerawat Pongpun, Senior Manager – Commercial, shared knowledge and practical experience on the application of High Performance Grade asphalt for airfield pavement construction and maintenance. In addition, Tipco Asphalt Group introduced innovative surface treatment and maintenance techniques, including the Fibro Seal system and Ultra-Thin Friction Course, designed for road improvement works within airside areas and supporting infrastructure such as service roads.
These solutions effectively address rutting caused by heavy truck traffic within Suvarnabhumi Airport while also enhancing surface friction, reducing skid risks, and improving overall traffic safety for airport users and travelers.
Beyond serving as a platform for knowledge sharing and discussion on operational challenges and appropriate material selection, the training also reflects Tipco Asphalt Group’s commitment to delivering a wide range of advanced asphalt technologies alongside continuous knowledge enhancement. This approach aims to strengthen safety across airport ground operations and runway pavements, while supporting sustainable economic development for the country.
