Tipco Asphalt Supports Knowledge Exchange on Ground Improvement, Reinforcing Leadership in Pavement Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure Innovation
on January 27, 2026, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited supported a knowledge-exchange seminar on Ground Improvement , with the objective of advancing geotechnical engineering expertise and elevating national infrastructure construction standards through collaboration between academia and the industry.
The seminar featured in-depth research presentations on the application of Fly Ash combined with Geopolymer to enhance the strength of pavement substructure layers, offering an alternative to conventional cement-stabilized materials. This approach addresses both engineering performance and environmental sustainability. The session was led by Professor Dr. Wu Jun from Shanghai Normal University, a distinguished expert in the field, who shared his academic insights and research findings.
In addition, the program included practical experience sharing from a major national infrastructure project—the Third Runway and Taxiway Project at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Technical knowledge on the application of Vacuum Consolidation was presented by Khun Christophe Duboscq, Senior Manager of Asphalt Product Research and Development, demonstrating Tipco Asphalt’s capability in translating engineering knowledge, innovation, and field experience into systematic real-world applications.
The seminar was honored by the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Kampon Subsomboon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Naresuan University, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Engineering Institute of Thailand (Northern Region 2). The event was also attended by Khun Surapon Katekaew, Technical Director, and the Tipco Asphalt Group’s technical team, who engaged in close technical discussions and professional knowledge exchange.
This participation reflects Tipco Asphalt Group’s strong commitment to collaborating with academic and professional partners to develop high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible infrastructure innovations. It also underscores the Group’s ongoing efforts to expand future collaboration, generate positive societal impact, and reaffirm its role as a leader in asphalt expertise and a partner in innovative solutions, driving sustainable infrastructure development over the long term.
