A project engineer is a member of engineering team of Thailand Operation. They are works closely with plant engineer, project owner and deputy or plant manager. Project engineers are responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project as assigned. The project engineer work to plan project, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements, budget, and timeline. He/she can work as plant engineer as assigned
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Project engineer responsible for project preparing, scheduling, coordination and monitoring of assigned projects.
- Interacting with project owner, interpreting their needs, requirement, objective, and criteria, give engineering recommendation to project owner, and representing them in the field.
- Developing drawing and BOQ, searching for subcontractor, be a part of bidding process, project scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
- Developing specifications for the project’s needed equipment.
- Performing quality control task on budget, schedules, plans and personal performance and reporting on the project’s status, project progress, key concerned and project result on monthly, yearly basis.
- Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior or plant engineers to created more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
- Creating frame works to measure the project’s metrics and data collection and report regularly on project
- Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
- Ensuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Provides recommendation and develop programs with supervisors to minimize losses due to injuries and properly damages and eliminate unsafe practices and conditions.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
- Having experience in engineer function at least 5 years.
- Project management and supervision skill Decision making ability and leadership skill
- Time management and organization skills
- Having good analytical skill and problem-solving skill.
- Familiarity with rules, regulation, best practices, and performance standard
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as Auto CAD
- Advance MS Office skill, (MS Project skill is an advantage)
- Good command of English in both writing and verbal communicating.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Base at Prapradang Plant (Samutprakarn) but able to relocate to work in other province and over sea.
- Proven working experience as a project engineer or plant engineer
- Experience as project manager or plant engineer are an advantage
- Current engineering license are an advantage
