*Tipco Asphalt Group: Construction Business Hosts Special Seminar* *“The Porous Asphalt for the City Road” for Bangkok Metropolitan Administration*
On January 19, 2026, Tipco Asphalt Group’s Construction Business organized a special technical seminar titled “The Porous Asphalt for the City Road” for Construction and Rehabilitation Units of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The seminar was held at the 7th Floor Auditorium, Bangkok City Hall 2.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Khun Mipol Punwatcharapisan, Deputy Director of the Department of Public Works, with more than 20 executives and officials from BMA’s Construction and Rehabilitation Offices in attendance.
The seminar was led by Tipco Asphalt Group, headed by Khun Jeerawat Pongpun, Senior Manager – Commercial, Construction Business, who shared technical knowledge and practical experience in pavement technology. The session focused on the concepts and application of Porous Asphalt Concrete for urban road improvement.
Porous Asphalt Concrete offers key benefits, including reducing surface water accumulation and lowering the risk of traffic accidents caused by hydroplaning. It also helps mitigate traffic noise, making it particularly suitable for areas beneath mass transit stations, underpasses, tunnels, and high-rainfall zones.
