Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited is proud to announce that its concrete joint sealant hot-poured elastic type, known as Tipco Joint Sealer, manufactured at the Nakhon Ratchasima plant, has received the carbon footprint reduction certification from Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). This certification underscores the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable development. The product aligns with the company’s vision of integrating sustainability into its corporate strategy to “deliver sustainable living for all societies with innovative solutions.”
Receiving this certification reflects success in innovation and reducing environmental impacts, as well as supporting the company’s sustainable development goal, which is divided into three main areas: 1) Innovation Leader to achieve sustainable growth 2) Eco-Efficiency Operations with minimal impact on the environment through efficiencies and 3) Safety Awareness to promote the welfare and well-being of life in communities sustainably.
This event marks Thailand’s first collaboration with global organizations like the World Road Association (PIARC) and the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA), aiming to exchange knowledge and experiences among experts, professional engineers, academics, and industry leaders on future highway transportation systems in Asia.
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Sophana Ritthisom, Mr. Phoonsak Limpruekkasem, and Ms. Alida Sertthin, had the honor of attending the 55th anniversary celebration of the Southern Group to congratulate them on this special occasion. The company presented a bouquet of flowers, which was graciously received by Dr. Vijak Pongpetra, Chairman of the Mining and Port Business Group.
We also had the opportunity to listen to a keynote speech under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future Together,” delivered by Ms. Pimpattra Vichayakul, Member of Parliament for Nakhon Si Thammarat and former Minister of Industry, who shared insights on sustainable growth strategies. Executives from both Tipco Asphalt and Southern Group exchanged views on opportunities for collaboration and mutual goals, recognizing the importance of sustainable growth. The event concluded with a commemorative group photo to mark this special occasion.
Tipco Asphalt and Government Agencies Provided Aid to Flood-Affected Communities in Phitsanulok
On October 2-3, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, in cooperation with local government agencies in Phitsanulok Province, including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, the Office of Welfare and Labor Protection of Phitsanulok, the Village Headman of Village 15, Ban Wang Kum, the Department of Industrial Promotion, and Nikhom Bangrakam Construction Ltd.,Part., our key business partner in Phitsanulok, provided drinking water and survival kits to over 250 households in Ban Wang Kum Subdistrict, Bang Rakam District, Phitsanulok Province.
This area is a low-lying region where residents face the uncertainty of water currents. During the flood season, it is the first area to be affected by massive water inflows, leading to repeated flooding and significant damage to farmers.
Since the Bang Rakam community is where the company’s plant is located, this assistance aims to care for and take responsibility for the well-being of the community and residents around the plant. It also aims to foster good relationships and provide help in times of need, aligning with the company’s corporate social responsibility principles and policies on environmental conservation, social development, and sustainable good governance
On October 3-4, Tipco Group hosted the “Cheers to Retirement #2” workshop, aimed at preparing employees for a fulfilling life after retirement. The event attracted significant interest, with many employees actively participating. The first day began with opening remarks from the CPO, who shared valuable insights on preparing for retirement, followed by an exchange of experiences from retired colleagues.
Additionally, there were informative sessions on maintaining both physical and mental health, featuring presentations from a physical therapist and a specialist. The workshop also covered financial planning for retirement and raised awareness about potential scams that could affect daily life.
This event not only provided valuable learning opportunities but also allowed employees to relax and build relationships in a friendly atmosphere. We hope that everyone will apply the knowledge and experiences gained from this workshop to prepare for a happy and fulfilling retirement. Tipco Asphalt Group, Rayong plant, received the Good Governance Standards 2024
Tipco Asphalt Group, Rayong plant, received the Good Governance Standards 2024 award, certified by the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce. Rayong plant is one of 250 companies that passed the evaluation out of over 900,000 entities in the department's database. On September 2, 2024, the group received a prestigious business award from the Director-General of the Department of Business Development. This award reflects the participation of both employees and management in conducting business under 6 core governance principles, aligned with the government's ESG concept for sustainability. It also enhances stakeholders’ confidence and elevates the company's reputation.
Tipco Asphalt Group, Phra Pradaeng and Rayong plants, received the Green Industry Award Level 5: Green Network (GI 5) in the asphalt business category.
On September 23, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Group, Phra Pradaeng and Rayong plants, received the Green Industry Award Level 5: Green Network (GI 5) in the asphalt business category. Both plants were among only 145 plants awarded GI 5 out of the 74,000 registered with the Department of Industrial Works nationwide.
Phra Pradaeng plant was one of 10 plants out of 6,156 registered in Samut Prakan Province to receive the GI 5 award.
Rayong plant was among 40 plants out of 2,706 registered in Rayong Province to achieve this distinction.
The Green Industry Level 5: Green Network certification signifies a commitment to expanding green networks throughout the supply chain. The company encourages its partners, allies, and stakeholders to participate in the green industry certification process, contributing to a sustainable organization together.
By participating in this event, the plants have successfully reduced their environmental and community impact, built a green network, strengthened the supply chain, and established themselves as a green network within the organization. Additionally, this achievement has enhanced workplace safety, fostered employee well-being in a healthier environment, reduced resource and energy consumption, and bolstered the company’s image and stakeholder acceptance. It also increases our competitive edge, as the GI 5 logo can now be displayed on products to communicate our commitment to consumers. Furthermore, this supports environmental development under the BCG model and Thailand’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On the award day, Phra Pradaeng and Rayong plants had the honor of setting up a booth showcasing the company’s efforts. It was visited by key figures, including Mr. Ekanat Promphan, Minister of Industry; and Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, along with other award recipients. At the booth, the company presented eco-friendly products, green innovation achievements, CSR activities, organizational goals toward Net Zero, commitments to environmentally friendly management, and various community engagement projects.
